Lofton Honored in LSU 100 2012 Fastest Growing Tiger Businesses

Mar 23, 2012

Baton Rouge, LA March 23, 2012:  Lofton Staffing Services was awarded the 2012 LSU 100 Fastest Growing Tiger Businesses at the Second Annual Honoree's Luncheon.  The LSU 100 celebrates the success of former LSU students and recognizes the impact of LSU on the local, regional and national economies.  LSU 100 is co-hosted by LSU and the Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute.

"Lofton Staffing is indicative of the Tiger-led businesses that we are looking for to show other Tigers from every college on campus what they need to do to be successful," said Lisa O'Beirne, Director of Development of SEI.  "We congratulate Lofton on their achievement and look forward to their continued success."

Lofton Staffing was founded by Tommy Lofton, LSU class of 1960, and is now in its second generation, run by brothers Bret Lofton, LSU class of 1987 and Bart Lofton, LSU class of 1989.  "Lofton's success has always been measured by the people we employ, from our internal staff to our assignment employees," said Bart Lofton, Co-President.  "There are three traits we look for in people: 1. Do you care?  2. Can I trust you?  3. Do you want to do better?  This provides a foundation of service to our employees, customers, and to our community."

"Lofton is truly honored to receive this prestigious award from LSU.  We are very appreciative of those who helped us to achieve it, including our inside team, our assignment employees and our clients."

We Believe...

Relationships are built…one on one.
Know your people - match interest and talents to the tasks.
Don’t manage by numbers. (They just show if we’re on track.) People do the work.
People should feel better when they leave than when they came – and in turn we feel better.
When we help others, we help ourselves.
Great expectations: fair pay, fair treatment, teach me.
Have fun…and be better.
Work at having fun (51% of the time.) If you don’t feel it, fake it. Having fun is not slacking off. Work is more natural than play.
